LAUREN RUTLIN produces dynamic art and innovative events. She currently serves as Director, Sales and Ticketing for Disney Theatrical Group's North American productions, including The Lion King and Aladdin on Broadway and The Lion King, Aladdin and Frozen on tour.
Lauren has also worked with writer-performers Rafael Casal and Daveed Diggs on their play THE LIMP, which has been presented in various forms at IATI Theater (New York), the Left Coast Leaning Festival at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts (San Francisco), the Line Breaks Festival at Overture Center for the Arts (Madison), and at the Hollywood Fringe Festival (Los Angeles).
A graduate of New York University, Lauren created her own concentration in media, politics and social change. Her past professional opportunities include roles as Director of Ticketing at Overture Center for the Arts in Madison, Wisconsin; leading the Event Planning and Sales office for UW-Extension Conference Centers, fundraising for U.S. Senator Russ Feingold, and managing a University of Wisconsin-Madison arts programming office, where she engaged young student-artists and brought Tony Award-winning and -nominated artists to perform on the UW campus. One of her favorite experiences was co-hosting a children’s television show, which was her first opportunity to travel, meet and get to know a diverse array of people, and help young people tell their stories.
When she's not working to bring great art to great communities, Lauren is most likely to be found jetting anywhere and everywhere to check out what's new in theater, covering herself in glitter or tulle while creating her own decor and fashion, or analyzing and discussing pop culture and politics.
